      This happens occasionally but it typically a /t/ before a vowel is not dropped. An example of when you might hear it cropped is in the word "internet" which might be pronounced as "innernet."

    So, have I understood correctly that if I say 'I would like a salad' or ' I would like a latte' I mean 'bring me a single portion/ serving of any salad/latte'? Like I don't really care about what salad or latte they might bring me? But if I say 'I would like the salad with mangos' or 'I would like the latte with pistachio cream' then I am being more picky and specific?
